I have been trying to get my camera to take clear night photo's and have been experimenting with the manual settings on my camera and tonight i got a clear shot (yay, might reattempt an earlier shot that didn't work). I went out in the back yard and all i could smell was the jasmine that has been growing all over my apple tree (that only ever makes the tiniest apples, probably because it's being strangled by the neighbours jasmine) Luckily jasmine is beautiful and i don't mind.

Day 58
Tiny Hands....at the moment the little boy they belong to is being a little terror, testing his boundries and back-chatting. but moments like these show how little he still is even though he speaks like he is so much older. Unconditional Love and Patience....

Day 57
Silo's hold a special place in my memory (odd i know) but seeing a silo meant we had nearly reached our destination when I went on trips with my mum and sisters. After hours in the car the silo meant soon we would be running around having adventures

Day 56
I love doors...they always make me wonder what could be behind them or in older buildings the history that has unfolded
Friday, 29 July 2011
Day 55
Today i went around my campus looking for interesting things to shoot, there wasn't much so i thought i could play with some of the ordinary things i found. I just selected the only coloured pallett on the stack and made the rest of the photo black and white. I quite like how it turned out.
Day 54
I'm using a photo I took on my hubby's iphone from a tip a few weeks back, i only just got them off of the phone and edited a little. I haven't had much time to take photos at the moment as i am getting used to studying again as well as being mum to three growing boys. I love the reflections of the trees in the water during a sunset over the River Murray.

Day 53
While these aren't the most exciting pictures, they capture something exciting for me as today i went back to school. I am studying education support so that i can help children with special needs (or kids who just need a little help) in school. These were taken as i sat in the car in the carpark, i just took a moment before stepping outside and starting something new. I have been a stay at home mum for nearly 11years now, it's time to do something for me.
Day 52
Little late getting this one in as we were saying goodbye to my sister who is moving to another state for work. I saw all the gum nuts and started thinking of the stories about Snugglepot and Cuddlepie the gumnut babies, we had the books as children and loved them.
Monday, 25 July 2011
Day 51
I took this shot while i was taking my youngest to his first full day of Kindy. Its the retaining wall at the school.
Sunday, 24 July 2011
Day 50
This Ladybug ride on toy is the cutest toy. My sister gave it to my eldest son for his 1st birthday (he'll be 11 this year) and now my 4yr old loves to scoot it up and down the hallway as his two older brothers have done before. Soon he'll be too big for it (and he is my last baby) so i'm glad i caughtthis shot and he is having so much fun.

Day 49
It was my son's 4th birthday today and he had a wonderful party. It's hard to believe that this cheeky, funny, boisterous, clever, talkative and active little boy was the tiny baby i gave birth to 4 years ago. He was a tiny 4lb 10oz (2.1kg). He spent the day with family and friends and got pressies and loved his cake which we had made to look like his favourite toy TigerOne. Happy Birthday Little Man.
Friday, 22 July 2011
Day 48
Went bowling tonight with my sister for her daughter's un-birthday party (her birthday is always in the summer/christmas holidays and friends are usually away ) The boys and i had a great time. I love bowling i'm just not very good at it

Day 47
This is one of my favourites. I took it last year in the afternoon after my Dad's funeral in Beachport. This is some of the gorgeous scenery along the back beach. (I chose to pick an older photo because I have spent the day running around organising my son's 4th birthday party and enrolling in my Tafe course in education support so haven't had a chance to pull the camera out)
Wednesday, 20 July 2011
Day 46
My eldest son was "helping" me take photos for the challenge and got this shot of the kids at the skate park but what i love is that he got a clear shot of himself taking the photo in the side mirror. He loves photography too and has had a camera since he was 6yrs old but his current passion is film and is desperate for a video camera...hmmm his birthday is coming later in the year
Tuesday, 19 July 2011
Day 45
While not a very exciting photo it does show what i did all afternoon. It's my youngest's 4th birthday this weekend so we were out all day getting party stuff organised then my middle son had an hearing follow-up evaluation as it's been a year since his last set of grommits (some small issues found we will get a full report soon) but this afternoon i decided to finally paint the toilet (not even an exciting room) as it has been bugging me for ten years the walls were blue and the ceiling dull grey so now it is all bright white. My arms are going to be sore tomorrow.

Day 44
While not a great shot this is an emotional one only because this bag belongs to my mum who spent the week here in Adelaide and flew back to Queensland tonight. We love having her home and miss her terribly when she goes. I miss just hanging out and chatting together and the boys love their Nanna.
Day 43
Even this though this is a failed attempt at a night shot of the Adelaide Plains lights (my camera just doesn't have the right stuff) I like the effect that it made, sort of like lots of little question marks
Day 42
I don't know why but i love this tree (in my neighbour's front yard) better without it's leave than with. Their garden is always beautiful
Friday, 15 July 2011
Day 41
I have been learning a little about photography to improve my shots, this is a leading lines shot that i took of my son's guitar. I am looking forward to learning more.
Thursday, 14 July 2011
Day 40
This is the coldest winter in a long time and i'm really feeling (and so is my middle son who suffers quite badly with asthma) and deciding to go out and about to takes photo's is sometimes not on my mind but i went out and found the dew on the grass and realised sometimes we don't need to go far to find beauty
Wednesday, 13 July 2011
Day 39
Today my middle son lost his 3rd tooth. He was very excited but he ate it along with his apple. His big brother is a little anxious because he has only lost 7 himself and he is ten and his little brother has 3 more wobbly teeth that look like they'll be coming out soon. With School photos coming up i hope they hold off for a little bit.
Tuesday, 12 July 2011
Day 38
Went to the movies today with the family so didn't get to go out and take photos so i decided to try different things around the backyard, i quite like the effect.
Monday, 11 July 2011
Day 37
Part of the hangouts when i was a teen, never went in just hung out on the steps or wandered around. Friends and i would sometime roam the streets (probably not a great idea but felt like it at the time) This Church is on South Road and is now painted pink and sells underwear (there might be some irony in there somewhere) The building is still beautiful.
Sunday, 10 July 2011
Day 36
The simple woven spiral of a basket caught my eye today. The closer you look the more unique parts of it pop out.
Saturday, 9 July 2011
Day 35
I took a picture of our swing set in the backyard because its looked so forlorn. It's dark, cold and drizzling with rain constantly and it looked so unused. Can't wait for a sunny day so my boys can go out and play.
Friday, 8 July 2011
Day 34
on the edge of the dunes on our beach. That is all that is left of the fence so not sure how many people it keeps off the dunes.
Thursday, 7 July 2011
Day 33
Just thought this blackened stump looked interesting. Not sure what happened to it, if it was burned, no other trees are affected.
Wednesday, 6 July 2011
Day 32
Ah Coffee...my friend...I love the smell of real coffee in the morning, it's a lovely way to start the day
Tuesday, 5 July 2011

Sunday, 3 July 2011
Day 29
The first time i ever really played with a photo. My little guy was running around the yard wearing these wings he got from a department store after visiting Father Christmas. I blacked out the yard and i quite like the effect it had on the picture
Saturday, 2 July 2011
Day 28
Working hard cleaning his Auntie's car...getting serious brownie points. Maybe he is hoping for help learning to drive in the future....or he just likes getting wet
Friday, 1 July 2011
Day 27
Three boys off on an adventure...We were exploring the other side of the Murray River after a quick ferry ride from the Waikerie side. It looks like they could be anywhere (but they couldn't go far the highway was just a 100m away)
Thursday, 30 June 2011
Day 26
Growing up so fast, it's not hard to see what he'll look like as a teenager even though its still 3yrs away... not a little boy anymore
Day 24
The boys climbing to the top deck of the River Murray Queen at Waikerie
Its a cafe and floating holiday hotel
Day 23
I just liked these steps that didn't really go anywhere, sometimes its just about the experince not the destination
Day 21
just the thing on a sunny winter afternoon, my little guy loves water play and happily spends hours filling and watering the garden, the grass, the pavement, the sandpit and himself
Day 20
This is the cubby house at our kindy, i like its rustic look. My youngest has just started kindy and loves it just as much as his brothers have
Thursday, 23 June 2011
Day 19
Even though we are getting to the end of our first month of Winter (a very cold and wet one this year) there are still some beautiful Bottlebrush Wattle blooms stubbornly and beautifully hanging around. A little reminder of the Spring and Summer to come.

Tuesday, 21 June 2011
Day 17
Our kids grow up so fast. My middle son seems so grown up during the day. He is learning the guitar, can read well and loves maths. He is a bit of a dare-devil and spends his time climbing... But at beditme he still needs his nightlight and its comforting glow...
Monday, 20 June 2011
Day 16
This photo was taken Boxing Day 2010, its a rare shot of me and my sisters together as my youngest sister lives in Queensland and I live in South Australia. We had a wonderful family dinner with everyone. Fits our theme for this week of "kisses"

Day 14
This the end of my second week doing this challenge, It's hard to believe how fast it has come around. I love the far away look as my youngest is contemplating the world around him after an afternoon feeding the ducks at the pond behind his Grandparents house.
